11/5/2023 0 Comments Pink flamingo in vegas![]() I advised that there was no point in me receiving it and I was offered 2 days comp on the resort fees. We had requested adjoining rooms shortly after making the reservations, even calling twice to confirm. 30 minutes later, we finally thought we could check in and go to bed. ![]() The email was to check in early and then go to the express kiosk upon arrival. I received an email early that day (we were not due to arrive until 11pm Las Vegas time, flying from Baltimore). We made reservations 8 months before our trip for 2 rooms. The bedding is now basic with the quilt and bedding being changed altogether, and no frills, they have definitely tried to cut down on waste and water, we respected that. We saw the cleaning manager go along the corridor checking the doors for the hanging do not disturb signs and entering the details on a tablet and cleaners saying 'housekeeping' later in the day in case anyone needed anything from them, how clever, making us think seriously about what we really need these days, you just can't live in the past anymore, especially with the water situation in Nevada. In 12 years things HAVE changed, we left the rubbish out for them, spoke to the persons with their trolley and asked for a toilet roll and shampoo tube, how hard is that, for goodness sake!. The cleaners work so hard all over the hotel and everyone we said good morning or Hi to responded with a smile and a Hi!. We were in the Habitat area, and our 3 rooms were very clean, well kept, and for goodness sake, move the shower head down a bit and no water escapes!. Overall what a hassle staying at the flamingo, I’m a Caesars reward member and frequent their hotels when in Las Vegas so I was kind of shocked at the treatment and status of the room. The room we had was somewhat clean but had the obvious signs of wear and age. ![]() Check out mobile and got charged for the renovated room without it being provided. By Monday we decided we would save the hassle and stay the last night in the older pet room. Get to our room and not only was it not the non renovated room we requested originally but it was a non renovated pet friendly room a long stretch from what we booked. She told me that I could come down the next day between 1-4 pm and they could change our room if one became available. After talking with her manager I was informed by the front desk worker who was helping me that they didn’t have the renovated 2 bed room I had reserved and they could put me into a non renovated room for the night (no mention of charging the discounted rate that the non renovated room cost). Being I was traveling with another person I replied that we would need the two beds. Upon checking in I was asked if I needed the 2 queen beds in the room I’d reserved. ![]() Staff at the kiosk were working efficiently and getting people out of line and into their rooms.
